| Name: | strangely |
| Bio: | Name: Damian Montague Age: 16 Pureblood/Halfblood/Muggleborn?: Pureblood House (if different from canon, please explain choice): Slytherin
Hair colour: Dark Brown Eye colour: Brown Height: 5'6 Weight: 120lbs Physical markings (tattoos, piercings, scars, etc.): A few scars here and there from Quidditch over the years, but nothing substantial. Beyond that, he has a scar on the pad of his right thumb, matching to the one that Miles has on his
Appearance: Damian appears to be a far more cheerful person than he generally happens to be. Full of smiles and jokes and overall cheeriness, his face lights up with the smile. Generally, though, that isn't what's behind the surface. Fairly attractive and baby-faced, he finds that looking especially happy tends to bring down peoples guards.
Family: Doris and Gene Montague, married Friends/Allies: He and Miles Bletchley are all BFF Current Love Interest: N/A Pet(s)/Familiar: A black cat by the name of Smoke
Sexual Orientation: Anything goes Personality: Generally, when first approached by someone, Damian is a quiet sort. He'll smile, laugh a bit (usually at just about anything, even if it isn't incredibly funny) that can either give the impression of him being either far too happy, or simply crazed. Once he gets to know a person that doesn't subside entirely, but he does speak up more, and can have proper conversations and even be serious if need be. It's only with those that he especially trusts that he'll calm down and act proper with, however. Once in that position, though, anything goes, and he tends to come across as very dark in his words and thoughts once they are allowed out. Overall, he's generally quite friendly, almost helpful to people no matter what house (although a little less so with Hufflepuffs). He can occasionally be found out on the pitch with just about anyone he can round up to practice Quidditch with, no matter what team they happen to be on. If they'll fly with him, he wants them there. Generally he sees this as an opportunity to 'learn thine enemy' but doesn't let on to that. He finds it to be quite beneficial, though. Inwardly, he is very much a dark soul. Violent thoughts are constantly on the back burner, thinking of things that are really rather sadistic, which quite often can bring on the bright grin he wears. If someone says something somewhat funny, in his mind he generally tags on something else that makes it just plain hilarious to him, though others might balk at the thought of. Really, he's just eerily cheerful.
Strengths: Ability to get along with just about anyone, even when he absolutely hats them. Charms, which is something that he absolutely loves and excels at. He is also a very quick thinker, and comes up with solutions to things at a rapid rate.
Weaknesses: Tends to creep people out with the excessive smiling and laughter, and doesn't generally know when to turn it off. It's resulted in some older students practicing their hexes on him at times. Subjects that don't lay in the scientific - astronomy, divinity, etc. If there isn't logical thought involved, he has trouble wrapping his head around it. Sadness (which likely seems like an odd one) - he doesn't do being sad well. Things that would normally be upsetting get buried and a happy face stays on. Generally when confronted with things that would normally see someone upset, he either responds in laughter, or simply stares and seems to cease functioning, as if he does not know what to do with the information. Upsetting situations don't do well with him.
Likes: Charms. Quidditch. Potions. Quidditch. Jokes. Quidditch. ...Quidditch.
Dislikes: People who don't like Quidditch. Divinity. People that don't know how to take a joke. Pumpkin Juice.
Habits: When he's nervous, confused, or unhappy in any way, he taps his fingers on anything he can get his hand on - knee, desk, broomstick, anything. He also insists on his handwriting being perfect. If he doesn't like the writing he's done on an assignment he will rewrite the entire thing in order to get it done neatly. Contrary to that, he's not very good at keeping his living space neat and tidy.
History (family history, school history, and post-school if applicable): Damian grew up in a simple family. Born and raised to a pair of purebloods that, while elitist in blood status, it wasn't necessarily brought up constantly. It was merely fact that they believed that they were superior, so there was no need to really say it. That sort of cocky chain of thought followed through to Damian, who doesn't bother getting involved in those sorts of conversations as he sees them to be a moot point. As a child, he witnessed his younger sister toppling down a flight of stairs, only to never get up again. Being the age that he was, he can't remember if she fell, or if he had pushed her, which is something that time and again he goes back to question - not out of guilt or upset, but purely out of curiosity. It was at that point that he learned to block out those sorts of negative emotions. At her funeral, he took solace in the uncle that focused on making him smile, who also told him that the best way to get through life is to look at things to the positive. After all, he was now an only child, and the focus would be solely on him, right? It was there that his bizarre frame of mind stems from. No one ever blamed him for the loss, and never even questioned the fact that it had been an accident, whether it had been or not. The closest thing to blame was that there should have been cushioning charms in place, or someone nearby to stop that fall with a simple spell. He doesn't actually remember the incident, was too young for that, so while it effected his frame of mind, it does not change anything in his day to day life, nor does it bother him at all. At the same age as all his friends, he received his Hogwarts letter and was whisked off to beginning a life at school. He landed in Slytherin (as was proper) and certainly felt he belonged there, even if he was seen as perhaps not being in the right place given his demeanor. Those that got to knew him learned better, though, and it was rarely questioned after the first couple of years. Most especially when he learned of his utter love for Quidditch, and worked his way to the team, and through the ranks there as chaser. |
